Annie Wilson was the good girl on the first season of “90210,” but after the jaw-dropping finale we may see another side in season two.

The Kansas girl adjusted to life in Beverly Hills with a few friends, a boyfriend, and rave reviews in the school play. She followed her parents’ rules most of the time, well, except that time she flew to San Francisco on a date. And then there was that road trip with brother Dixon in which their destination was kept secret from mom and dad Wilson. OK, so Annie did show a bit of rebellious behavior, but nothing like the season finale.
Actress Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie on the CW series, said there were never any plans for her character to show a darker side, according to a report by Eonline.
“My producer sat me down and was like, ‘Shenae, there is just some sort of intensity behind your eyes. We’ve got to bring it out somehow,’ ” Grimes said in the Eonline report. “I was like, ‘All right! Cool! Better challenge for me. I get to stir up trouble at work, awesome.’ ”
Things started turning darker for Annie on prom night. She had a hard time finding a date; then she was accused of snitching to her dad, the school principal, about an after-prom party; and then she was accused by her friend, Naomi, of cheating with Liam, Naomi’s man. But Annie didn’t snitch on anyone and she spent the entire evening at Naomi’s after-prom party cleaning up everyone’s messes, just like the good girl she always was.
After drinks flew in her face and everyone turned on her, the rage inside her came out. She took off with a bottle of alcohol and called the police on Naomi’s party. Then Annie did the unthinkable as she ran something (or someone) over, and then fled the scene.
Now that she apparently committed a crime, will the once good girl turn herself in? Either way, a darker road apparently lies ahead for Annie in the upcoming season of “90210.”
