Adrianna kissed a girl, and she liked it.

At least, she thinks she might have liked it.

“That’s the twist!” said Canadian Jessica Lowndes, who plays Adrianna Tate-Duncan in 90210. The series returns this week, Tuesday on CW and Thursday on Global.

In a new episode titled Rats and Heroes, Adrianna and Gia — played by Rumer Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore — lock lips after attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.

“Adrianna has a very addictive personality, addicted to the highs and the lows,” said Lowndes, 21. “In the episode just before the break, she made a commitment to quit drugs and try to stay on the straight and narrow.

“She still has feelings for Navid (played by Michael Steger) and she’s doing everything possible to prove her love for him. So she goes to AA and meets this girl named Gia, played by Rumer Willis.

“Through different compromising situations that Adrianna finds herself in, Gia is really there for her and they share a special bond. Adrianna starts truly questioning her sexuality. So that’s definitely going to be something.”

But that’s not the only influence Gia has on Adrianna.

“Gia encourages Adrianna to take her sadness over Navid and put it into music, which has been amazing for me,” said Lowndes, who is embarking upon a music career herself. “I’ve been able to incorporate a lot of music into the show.”

In fact, Lowndes — who hopes to have a full album out by the end of the year — gets to sing in virtually every remaining episode of 90210 this season.

“It’s so exciting, and all different musical styles, as well,” Lowndes said. “It’s awesome that we got a third-season pickup and there’s going to be a lot more music in the third season as well.

“That’s what I’m doing when I’m not working on 90210, I’m working on my album. So I love it, it’s a dream come true.”

Despite being part of the quintessential California lifestyle in 90210, Lowndes said Vancouver always will be home. She did make it back to Vancouver for the tail end of the Olympics.

“I went to the closing ceremonies and different medal ceremonies and hung out with my family, it was amazing,” Lowndes said. “Just taking in that Olympic spirit, I’ve never seen the streets of Vancouver like that.”

Lowndes did find herself in some traffic chaos, however.

“I made the mistake of driving downtown on the final Sunday,” she said. “(Public transit) was chaotic as well, so I was like, ‘Hey, let’s just drive, it’ll be fine.’

“Literally, there were people with Canadian flags, dressed all in red and white, just running in front of the car. It was pretty terrifying.

“But it was kind of great, because random strangers were coming up and high-fiving us. They were just so high on life. After we — and I can say we because you’re a Canadian — after we scored that goal to win the hockey game, horns still were honking six hours afterward. It was awesome.”

So let’s add this up:

Jessica Lowndes plays a character on 90210 who has addictions left, right and centre, so Lowndes gets to flex her acting muscles; the character now is getting to sing more and more on the show, which is Lowndes’ other passion; and oh yeah, Canada won hockey gold in her home town.

We’d say things are going pretty well for Jessica Lowndes. And that’s not even counting the kiss with Rumer Willis!

For anyone missing those frisky Beverly Hills teens, 90210 will return with a hot new relationship!

Romance will bloom for Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Gia (Rumer Willis) as the two support each other in AA meetings, bond over old movies and share a kiss, all while Adrianna tries to rebound from her breakup with Navid (Michael Steger).

“Adrianna and Gia share a special bond,” Lowndes tells PEOPLE. “My character starts questioning whether or not sexuality is measured on a spectrum, if it’s black and white or if it comes down to who you connect with and who you are compatible with. I’m excited as an actress to tell the story.”

Lowndes is also excited to share her voice on the show. Gia will get Adrianna to try out for the lead singer position in The Glorious Steinems, and all-girl band at West Beverly, and all the singing is done by Lowndes herself!

You know you’ve snagged a great guy when he readily admits that he’s always in the mood for love – and just lovin’!

Just how does Aaron Paul keep his girlfriend of a year, Jessica Lowndes, madly in love with him? By being a Renaissance Man, apparently!

“Romance is good!” the loved up Breaking Bad star confided to HollywoodLife.com at Burberry’s digital 3-D Autumn/Winter 2010 show in Los Angeles Feb. 23. But how, exactly, does the 30-year-old show his lady that he knows what love is?

“We like to travel around and lay low,” he said. “We went to Paris, and spent a while out there, which was incredible, and to Vancouver. We like to globe trot a bit.” He also gets his girl around the 90210 on his new set of hot wheels. “We just bought a motorcycle, so we’ve been taking it around – and taking long drives. What we love best are spur-of-the-moment trips.”

But how do we know – despite his long-walks-on-the-beach-mentality – that Aaron and Jessica, 21, are the real deal? “I think [Jessica] would look amazing in anything up there, to be honest,” he gushed, nodding towards the digitalized models.

If your man thinks you look better than a model, Jess, then you better hold on to him with both hands. Tight. And don’t ever let go…

This season on “90210,” Adrianna emerged with a new look, a new moniker (“No Drama Adrianna”), and a new relaxed outlook on her post-drug, post-preggers life. She was doing a good job of laying low – until last week, that is, when she almost kissed Teddy at his yacht party. Is the old Adrianna starting to resurface?

“Something is definitely going to go down,” said Jessica Lowndes, the Vancouver native who plays “90210’s” Adrianna Tate-Duncan. “It’s definitely going to get really dramatic really fast. She’s going to go back to ‘Drama Adrianna.’”

Up until now, Navid has been getting most of the flack for being jealous of Adrianna’s relationship with Teddy. Lowndes says that her character should share in some of the blame. “I think she’s in a little bit of denial with obviously the attraction that’s still there with Teddy,” Lowndes, 20, explained. “I think she realizes there that she still has feelings for Teddy, and Navid was right all along.”

Lowndes took some time out to answer not only our questions, but a few from her fans, as well:

You weren’t supposed to be a regular on “90210,” right?
When I signed on, I was only supposed to be in the first two or three episodes. Next thing I know, my character had a pregnancy and a drug addiction, and I was offered a series regular. I’m still pinching myself because this is so much more than I even thought was possible. I’m also very fortunate that they’ve given Adrianna such real, pressing issues in society, and they deal it with it in such an honest way. I try my hardest. I’m constantly challenged as an actress, because it’s all out of my comfort zone and they’re things I have no experience with.

Teenage girls in bikinis and college-aged sweethearts are enough to keep the boys swooning, but a national Zimbio poll ranks Jessica Lowndes as top starlet for the hottest bikini body among her peers.

Ranked alongside Jessica Stroup, Ashley Greene, AnnaLynne McCord and Kristen Bell respectively, the star reeled in 43% of total votes polled.

The 20-year-old Canadian actress is best known for her role as as “Adrianna Tate-Duncan” on the revived hit series 90210. She’s also known for a hot bikini body and is a known yogi and fan of healthy eating.

The beach babe is a fan of Bikram yoga, done in the heat, which she says “feels amazing afterwards” and isn’t scared of a good run.

When it comes to eating, Jessica tries to keep it balanced and chooses best fast food options when she’s on the go – Like Subway.

Of her recent sandwich situation, the star said Subway made her day.

“Someone was making me a sandwich at Subway and he started hyperventilating. Then he asked me to sign a wrapper. That was pretty cool.”

But healthy eating doesn’t mean she’s supernatural. Jessica admits she still gives into pretty serious pie cravings – “From apple to blackberry,” she says.
