The second season of the new 90210 premiered Tuesday night on the CW network with a hot new additon – hunky Trevor Donovan, who is breaking hearts and causing trouble at West Beverly Hills High School.  Trevor invited RadarOnline.com to watch the premiere with him high up in the Hollywood Hills and we learned a few secrets about the show and the new guy in our favorite zip code!

“I’m definitely bringing in some sexual tension and some interesting scenarios,” Trevor told RadarOnline.com reporter Alexis Tereszcuk about his character.

Playing Teddy Montgomery, the son of a famous actor, Trevor had some sexy lines in the season opener. “It was funny,” the blonde California native told us about the lines. “He doesn’t take things as seriously as the other kids on the show.”

Trevor wouldn’t reveal who his love interests on the show are, but he assured us “There’s a lot of swapping, so to speak!”

So what can we expect from season two? Trevor told us to watch out for “a whole lotta beach, a whole lotta skin and a whole lotta sex.”

The new 90210 has seen a lot of changes since original show-runners Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs handed off the reins to Rebecca Rand Kirshner last spring. The show is brighter, sunnier, all around more Californian. The storylines have amped up the teen drama (street racing, a sex tape and one heck of a hit-and-run accident in the season finale), and there are a few new faces as well.

Series regular Dustin Milligan, who played Ethan, has left the show, and in his place newcomer Trevor Donovan has arrived. You might recognize Donovan from his stint as Jeremy Horton on Days of Our Lives or from his other life as an Abercrombie & Fitch model. He plays Teddy Montgomery, a tennis star who is also the son of an Oscar-winning actor. Though by all accounts Teddy is very much a golden boy, Donovan tells us that he has some secrets too, including a romantic past with one of 90210’s leading ladies.

As the show prepped for its second-season premiere (Tuesday, Sept. 8, 8/7c, CW), TVGuide.com spoke to Donovan about his new gig, who Teddy might have eyes for and how his arrival in the new new 90210 will shake things up.

TVGuide.com: Tell us about Teddy. What does he bring to the table?
Trevor Donovan: Teddy brings a very Southern Californian summer vibe — the beach, sunshine, surfing, he brings a lot of that element. He’s also a very genuine person. Any sort of comments or things that he does that may rub people the wrong way or offend anybody, it isn’t intentional. Because he grew up in the entertainment world around a lot of adults, he’s mature beyond his years. He doesn’t fall into all the teen drama stuff.

News is that ‘Days of our Lives’ hunk Trevor Donovan is the latest hottie to become part of 90210.

90210 has tapped Abercrombie & Fitch model-turned-soap star Trevor Donovan to fill the show’s “golden boy” vacancy, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The genetically blessed Donovan, who channeled Days of Our Lives bad boy Jeremy Horton for four months in 2007, will play Teddy, West Beverly’s own version of JFK Jr. Gorgeous, smart, athletic, charming, and naturally confident, Teddy has the unique ability to make any girl feel like she’s the most beautiful person in the room. And any guy like he’s a cross between Shrek and Jiminy Glick.

Donovan, whose 90210 gig is described as heavily recurring, will debut early on in the show’s upcoming second season.
